Philadelphia Eagles three-time Pro Bowl left guard Landon Dickerson was injured during the team’s public training camp practice on Sunday night.

Dickerson went down with an apparent right leg injury and was carted off the field after struggling to get up.

There has been no update on Dickerson’s injury other than it’s possibly “highly significant,” according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

Backup Brett Toth took over Dickerson’s spot as the Eagles wrapped up practice, but that’s no guarantee he’s their go-to guy if things get worse for Dickerson.

If the Eagles are not comfortable enough with Toth, then they could look at moving Tyler Steen to left guard and letting Matt Pryor settle into the right guard starting job. OR they could keep Steen at right guard and have Pryor take Dickerson’s spot, which seems like the better option, considering his pass protection is a lot better than Steen’s.

Pryor, who was originally drafted by the Eagles in 2018 and then traded to the Indianapolis Colts in 2022, played in 17 games for the Chicago Bears last fall, making 15 starts at guard. Per Pro Football Focus, Pryor finished the season ranked eighth among all NFL guards with a pass blocking grade of 78.1. Meanwhile, Steen had a 37.7 pass block grade in 2024, per PFF.

He has matured improved since last year, but he’s no Dickerson. Nobody on the depth is.

But regardless of whatever the Eagles ultimately decide to do amid Dickerson’s injury, fans can trust that offensive coordinator Jeff Stoutland makes the right call.
