The Philadelphia Eagles have had some point son worry this offseason. Part of that had to do with long-term doubt along their offensive line.

Luckily, the latest update for the Birds regarding a key lineman helps the team and still provides upside for the player.

Eagles rework Landon Dickerson’s contract and put his long-term future up in the air

According to Jeremy Fowler, the Eagles and guard Landon Dickerson have agreed to a revised contract.

It is a two-year deal, totaling around $36 million. Dickerson is now due $15.7 million this year. He will not be under contract after the 2027 season.

Dickerson is 28 years old and is a three-time Pro Bowl performer. He is seen as one of the best guards in the NFC, but injuries have piled up over the course of his football career, forcing Dickerson to consider an early retirement.

Retirement speculation for Dickerson earlier in the offseason

Reports flooded earlier in this offseason about Dickerson possibly hanging up his cleats. Along with Lane Johnson, there was some legit concern that the Eagles would lose two experienced starters on their offensive line entering next year.

Instead, both have announced their intention to keep playing. That was a major sigh of relief for Philly and their fans.

“Dickerson tore his ACL twice in college and had knee surgery during training camp last year. He also dealt with multiple ailments during the season in 2025. It was another tough campaign for him, and his long-term health for his body was on his mind.” — A to Z Sports

The Eagles Pro Bowl guard was drafted in the second round in 2021. He’s been a consistent starter when healthy and figures to be an impactful piece for the next two seasons following this contact news.

Past that, there is still plenty of intrigue regarding his NFL future.
