A couple of rookie for the Philadelphia Eagles have been making headlines on defense. Former Georgia defenders Nakobe Dean and Jordan Davis have been getting plenty of hype. Davis is the latest player to get national media respect.

David has been dominant throughout training camp and the preseason. In limited reps during the preseason, the Eagles have seen first-hand how he can wreck a game for an opposing offense.

His size and speed at that size is special. You may think he is a run-down only player, but he will be much more for the Eagles. His pass-rush skills are impressive for the role that he plays, and his motor always runs hot. Davis is a relentless defensive lineman that the NFL is going to learn plenty of over the next handful of seasons, at least.

Alongside the rest of an impressive defensive front seven, Davis will play a big role this season and beyond for the Eagles. He was one of the most NFL-ready talents in this year's draft class. It has been on full display, and folks are noticing.

Expect plenty more impact plays from the new Eagles' defensive lineman.
