One of the highlights of the NFL offseason was Peyton Manning's Netflix show, Quarterback. The documentary followed Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins, and Marcus Mariota through their everyday, in-season life and gave fans insight and info they've never seen before.
It was a hit, as expected, and Netflix has already approved a second season. So, now, it's about finding the next trio willing to pull the curtain back during the 2023 season.
Don't expect Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts to be featured in Season Two, however, because he turned Manning's offer down, per Pro Football Talk.
And apparently, Manning approached him about a role in Season One, which Hurts also turned down.
“I actually turned it down last year. I didn’t feel it was appropriate for the year so I turned down the opportunity to be on it,” Hurts said, via PFT. "… That time will come. There’s a lot of the journey to be told and there’s a lot yet to unfold that will be told one day, and that time will come."
Hurts is notorious for his drive and his focus, so it makes sense he'd want as little distractions as possible while he tries to get the Eagles to back-to-back Super Bowls for the first time in franchise history.
Maybe, once he gets a ring, he'll be willing to work with Manning. But until then, the NFL legend is going to have to play the waiting game.
