Eagles, Dicker

We all know about the Philadelphia Eagles having one of the best fanbases in all of sports. However, there are some people who haven't been around the organization who don't know about that.

Eagles fans are more known for being very passionate, but not necessarily known for how well they travel. Like I said before, we know about how well they travel, but other players and teams don't necessarily know.

On Sunday, the Eagles fans basically took over State Farm Stadium, and you could see a sea of green everywhere. There was at least half the stadium full of Eagles fans, with the other half being Cardinals, and mind you, this was a Cardinals home game.

State Farm Stadium in Arizona is 2,330 miles and 33 hours away from Philadelphia. So, if you didn't think they travel well, now you know.

New Eagles' kicker Cameron Dicker found that out as well, and it surprised him.

"Pretty crazy," kicker Cameron Dicker said when asked about how well Eagles fans travel. "That was wild. I didn't realize how well they travel. They were telling me, and I didn't think it would be that wild, but it was pretty cool. It makes life a lot easier when half of the stadium is Eagles' fans."

The Eagles fans definitely played a factor on Sunday and were basically, let me steal a phrase from another bird team in the Seattle Seahawks, the 12th man on the field.

You can even see the stadium is filled with Eagles fans cheering when the kick was missed by Cardinals kicker Matt Ammendola.

They helped the new kicker tremendously, as he made some huge plays. I'm sure it did help too, as it is known to be hard to kick when on the road. Even then, other Eagles players had no doubt in their minds that Dicker would make big plays.

“Dicker the kicker, man,” Dallas Goedert said when asked about his thoughts on the backup kicker. “Did just like anything. We have a tight-knit group, and it doesn’t matter who comes in, we are family. We accepted him right away. We knew we needed him. So, it was cool getting to know him, hearing his stories from Texas, some big kicks there. So I had no doubt in my mind.”

If he needs to play next week, I'm sure the Philly Faithful will give him a warm welcome on Sunday Night Football against the Dallas Cowboys.
