The Eagles are in the fortunate position of having a top-10 pick and already having an elite roster.

The team owns the New Orleans Saints 2023 first-rounder due to a 2022 draft night deal that led to the Saints getting Chris Olave and the Eagles trading for AJ Brown.

The Saints had a disappointing season in 2022, so the Eagles will get a premium pick out of the deal.

Replenishing lost depth will be a key for Philadelphia. This offseason the team watched TJ Edwards, Javon Hargrave, CJ Gardner-Johnson, and more walk in free agency.

With that being said, I wanted to take a look at some prospects that could be available for the Eagles at pick 10.

Nolan Smith, EDGE, Georgia

Smith would be the perfect Philadelphia Eagle.

He's a bit undersized to play 4-3 DE, but that's okay due to his abilities in pass coverage.

In 2022, Smith racked up seven tackles for loss and three sacks in just eight games. The talented defender never put up huge sack numbers in college, but he was always in the backfield and frequently met the ball carrier at the line.

Additionally, guess who Smith has been compared to? Current Eagle Haason Reddick.

Both Reddick and Smith are capable of rushing the passer and dropping back in coverage against tight ends. One knock on Smith has been his size, but if anybody would know how to use him, it would be Philadelphia.

Jalen Carter, DL, Georgia

If the Eagles want to have a scary defensive line once again in 2023, adding Carter would be a smart move.

Just imagine Fletcher Cox, Brandon Graham, Jordan Davis, and Jalen Carter all on the same defensive line.

From a pure talent perspective, Carter might be the best player in the class. Heck, he was even compared to Warren Sapp coming out of high school.

However, due to some off-field concerns, Carter could be set for a fall on Draft Day.

Carter put up three sacks and seven tackles for loss in 2022 for Georgia and was an elite run-stuffer all season.

The Eagles must prepare for life without Brandon Graham and Fletcher Cox. Selecting a talent such as Carter would ensure the Eagles have a talented line for years.

If there are concerns about Carter's character, pairing him with veteran leaders like Cox and Graham could be the best scenario.

Peter Skoronski, OL, Northwestern

This is one I haven't seen many people project.

A majority of mock drafts seem to have Skoronski going to his hometown Chicago Bears at No. 9, or perhaps to the Titans at No. 11. However, if the talented lineman falls, the Eagles should pounce.

I prefer Skoronski above the other offensive linemen due to his ability to slide inside and play guard. The Eagles will likely need a new starter at guard after watching Isaac Seumalo leave in free agency.

The Eagles also Andre Dillard, further weakening the depth of the line. Skoronski could be the eventual replacement for Lane Johnson or a day-one starter at guard.

It's not a sexy pick, but it would ensure that the Eagles line remains elite for years to come.

Final Thoughts: The Eagles do not have any glaring needs at any starter positions, save for guard. Thus, the main emphasis should be placed on strengthening the strong parts of the roster and replenishing depth.

I was tempted to include Brian Branch, a safety from Alabama, but I just see the 10th pick as too early for a safety in this class.

Agree or disagree with my picks? Let us know!
