Eagles should be all in on Pro Bowler set to be cut

Miles Sanders departed in free agency, signing with the Carolina Panthers. In his stead, the Eagles brought in Rashaad Penny on a one-year deal.
Penny, the former Seahawk, is a talented back but has been limited by repeated injuries. There could be another option available that would take the Eagles' offense to new heights.
The Minnesota Vikings and star RB Dalvin Cook are at an impasse.
The Vikings currently have the least cap space in the NFL, hovering at just over $1M. Cook is slated to earn slightly over $10M in 2023, but most of that is non-guaranteed.
On March 17, $2M of that salary became guaranteed, and many around the league were shocked that Cook was not released before this point. However, it is now thought that perhaps Cook would not have been able to pass a physical at that point.
The team re-signed Cook's backup, Alexander Mattison, to a two-year, $7M deal earlier this offseason. Mattison has looked passable in Cook's absences, so the Vikings could be planning to roll with the former Boise State Bronco.
It should be made clear that the Vikings would not be moving on from Cook due to poor performance. Cook has been of the best backs in the league after the last four seasons, as evidenced by four Pro Bowl selections.
Cook has had at least 1,100 rushing yards in every season since 2018 and has also grabbed 30+ receptions in each of these seasons.
However, the Vikings need cap space, Cook will be 28 years old at the start of the 2023 season, and Mattison seems to be a capable replacement.
Enter Howie Roseman and the Eagles.
As mentioned before, Penny is a good RB, and Kenneth Gainwell and Boston Scott are still around as well. It has also been speculated that the team could be targeting a RB early in the draft.
Adding Cook might be the smartest option. Cook is a solid veteran who is one of the best backs in the league when healthy. Penny is coming off of another serious injury, Gainwell and Scott have never shown an ability to play a larger role, and a rookie back likely would not be impactful right away. (This is not counting Bijan, I just don't think the Eagles will go that route.)
Jalen Hurts, Rashaad Penny, and Dalvin Cook would immediately become the most feared backfield in the league. Would this move be enough to propel the Eagles back to the Super Bowl? I think it is worth a try.
