On Saturday, the NFL finally righted the wrong that was done to the Philadelphia Eagles last week.

In the first preseason game of the year, Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts was the victim of a late hit by New York Jets linebacker Quincy Williams.

Philly head coach Nick Sirianni was understandably livid after the hit.

The NFL righted the wrong on Saturday by fining Williams $10,609. Some fans may have wanted a suspension. But while the hit was uncalled for, it didn't quite warrant a suspension.

If that fine sounds like an odd amount, it's because it's the amount that was negotiated by the NFL and the NFL Players Association for these types of fouls.

Fortunately, Hurts was just fine after the hit. Now that Williams has been fined, the book can pretty much be closed on this incident.
