The NFL handed five Philadelphia Eagles players early lumps of coal for Christmas, fining them a total amount of $55,824 for penalties in Week 15's win over the Pittsburgh Steelers.
Eagles cornerbacks Darius Slay and Quinyon Mitchell were each fined a whopping $14,069 for the sideline fight they were involved in which started with tight end Darnell Washington pushing Slay beyond the end zone.
Steelers wideout Calvin Austin III was also fined $6,173 for the scuffle.
Only the Steelers were initially penalized for the incident during the game, so the amount difference makes sense.
Meanwhile, Zack Baun was fined $8,888, safety Sydney Brown was fined $6,981, and defensive tackle Jalen Carter was docked $11,817 for unnecessary roughness.
In addition to these fines, quarterback Jalen Hurts was fined $5,628 for his choice of mismatching cleats to didn't align with the Eagles' traditional colors.
Steelers cornerback James Pierre was not fined for what looked like an illegal hip-drop tackle that shook up Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown.
