The Philadelphia Eagles are in a place they didn’t want to be by late January. They’re watching the NFL postseason from their couches, and a lackluster offense at times pushed them to that reality.

With that, quarterback Jalen Hurts will still get a prestigious (according to the NFL) opportunity and honor by representing the Eagles in the Pro Bowl.

Jalen Hurts replaces Matthew Stafford in Pro Bowl Games

The NFL has named the Eagles’ quarterback to the Pro Bowl Games as a replacement for Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Since Stafford’s team made a lengthy postseason run, it is understandable that he is dropping out of contention for the NFL All-Star circuit. If Hurts’ team found more playoff success, he probably would have made the same choice, but alas.

Much of the offensive discourse about Hurts and his unit was negative. Part of that was on the players, while plenty of blame fell on former offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo as well.

The Eagles have already replaced him as offensive play-caller, with former Green Bay Packers quarterbacks coach Sean Mannion joining the staff in that role.

Hurts completed 294-of-454 pass attempts for 3,224 yards, 25 touchdowns, and six interceptions in 16 regular-season starts for Philly. He also totaled 421 yards and eight touchdowns on the ground.

For the QB, a change in scheme and more versatile play-calling could pay dividends in 2026. Hurts will be the starting QB in Philadelphia. We will just have to see if he and the team can find more consistent avenues for success on that side of the ball next season.
