The Philadelphia Eagles’ (5-0) undefeated run continued with Sunday’s thrilling 20-17 victory over the Arizona Cardinals.
It’s an exciting time to be a sports fan in Philadelphia. Not only are the Eagles looking the part of a Super Bowl contender, but the Philadelphia Phillies are set to begin the National League Divisional Series this week.
Philly fans certainly have plenty to cheer about, but head coach Nick Sirianni went out of his way to acknowledge the fanbase’s phenomenal support his team received in the win.
“I could see (Kyler Murray) struggling sometimes to make calls. We are in Arizona,” Sirianni exclaimed while donning a Phillies t-shirt. “Man, these fans are awesome. This is such a great sports town and we appreciate the heck out of them.”
Sirianni made sure to thank Eagles fans on his way into the tunnel in this awesome exchange.
There isn’t another fanbase in the league that will have fans travel over 600 miles to take over an opposing team’s stadium.
Only in Philly.
