The Philadelphia Eagles are 3-0 and they look like one of the teams to beat in the NFC.
Head coach Nick Sirianni, however, doesn't care one bit about that.
After the Eagles' impressive win against the Washington Commanders on Sunday, Sirianni made it clear that he's not reading into Philly's 3-0 start too much.
The second-year Eagles head coach told reporters that the NFL has a good way of "smacking you down" if you get too confident.
Sirianni is absolutely right. It's a great start, but there's still a LOT of season left to be played.
And if the Eagles don't keep the same intensity they've had the first three weeks, Philadelphia will fade and they'll leave the door open for the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC East.
Fortunately for the Eagles, it sounds like Sirianni has the right approach to keep this team from feeling itself and getting overconfident.
It's shaping up to be a special season in Philly.
Eagles fans should start clearing their weekend calendars in January. I have a feeling Philadelphia will be playing in some important games.
