Nick Sirianni sends a loud but real message to the NFL and its truth could lead to back-to-back Super Bowls

Man. The Philadelphia Eagles didn't just beat the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX – it flat-out dominated its counterpart.
Seriously, that was one of the most dominate performances, if not the most dominant performance, in Super Bowl history. Just in the past 25 years, it's just as impressive as the Tampa Bay Buccaneers' 31-9 win over the Chiefs back in 2020, the Seattle Seahawks' 43-8 win over the Denver Broncos back in 2013, the Bucs' 48-21 win over the then-Oakland Raiders in 2022, and the Baltimore Ravens' 34-7 win over the New York Giants back in 2000.
And we haven't gone back and mentioned games like the San Francisco 49ers' 55-10 win over the Denver Broncos back in 1990, nor the Chicago Bears' 46-10 win over the New England Patriots in 1986. Among others, of course.
It was a wire-to-wire win that saw the Eagles dominate in all three phases of the game. There was a clear talent gap between the two rosters and it reared its ugly head on Sunday night.
The Eagles have, and have had all year long, the NFL's most talented roster. There are dudes that can make a difference at every position and some of them are among the elite at their position. And if they're not, well, they're pretty damn close.
Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni knows this better than anyone and he wanted the rest of the NFL to realize it after the game. If the league already hadn't after watching the game, of course.
"It takes everybody. That's why I laugh sometimes [when they're] like, 'Hey, well, they're so stacked as a team,'" Sirianni told The Athletic's Diana Russini after the game. "That's what good football teams do. Good football teams are stacked teams, and we're a stacked team. It took every bit of us, and it took all our players, it took all our coaches. It took everybody, the whole organization. [You] can't be great without the greatness of others."
Eagles roster and salary cap health are good enough to run it back in 2025
The Eagles roster can be just as talented in 2025. There are some key free agents on the defensive side of the ball in linebacker Zack Baun and defensive linemen Milton Williams, Josh Sweat, and Brandon Graham, but outside guard Mekhi Becton, the offensive side of things is intact regarding starters.
When it comes to the "Core 4" on defense, the Eagles could theoretically bring back all four, but realistically probably two. Right now, the Eagles have a little less than $14 million in effective cap space, but per Over The Cap, they can create $63-$75 million in cap room through simple and/or max restructures, respectively, which is more than enough to bring all five aforementioned guys. Those scenarios require a ton of moving parts and an insane amount of work, so one shouldn't rely on them to come to 100% fruition.
I'd be shocked if Graham doesn't retire after this year. If he doesn't, he should come back on an affordable one-year deal. Becton shouldn't require a ton of money, either, as his one year was solid, but I don't think it warrants top guard money by any means.
Now, the trio of Baun, Williams, and Sweat are a completely different story. Especially after the Super Bowl. All three guys made huge plays that helped Philly destroy KC. All three guys are going to get paid and they're going to get paid well, with Milton probably cashing in more than everyone. And of course, the Eagles can always replace guys with cheaper, but effective free agents.
But honestly, the Eagles defense should be just fine as long as Vic Fangio is in the mix. Still, getting at least one of the three aforementioned guys would be a major win for the Eagles. Fangio will be there, too, unless the New Orleans Saints pull some crazy U-turn and ditch Kellen Moore for him, which shouldn't happen.
Then there's the Eagles' seven draft picks, all in the first five rounds of the 2025 NFL Draft. Based off what we know and have seen from Howie Roseman and Co., the Eagles should add even more talent in April.
Either way, the Eagles roster will remain among the league's best when the 2025 season starts and it could easily result in another Super Bowl win for Sirianni and the gang.
