A familiar face to the Philadelphia Eagles organization is headed to the Washington Commanders. Washington is reportedly signing linebacker Nate Gerry. Gerry signed to the 49ers last season, but he didn't play. His last playing time was in 2020 with the Eagles.

Gerry recorded 57 tackles during his last season in Philadelphia. He added four tackles for loss and two pass deflections. On the other hand, the LB struggled mightily in coverage.

The former Eagles linebacker did have an impressive play against the Jets for the Eagles, though.

It will be interesting to see if he sticks around for the Commanders. Right now, he just projects as depth for them behind Cole Holcomb and Jamin Davis. He'll compete with David Mayo as their third linebacker.
