Saquon Barkley is so close to hitting two more big bonuses in Eagles' playoff run
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has been cashing in the big bucks this season and he's not done yet. After already unlocking $1 million for being named an All-Pro and another $1 million for his 2,000-plus yard 2024 regular season, Barkley can add another $250,000 for an NFC Conference Championship win, and an additional $250,000 with […]
Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley has been cashing in the big bucks this season and he's not done yet.
After already unlocking $1 million for being named an All-Pro and another $1 million for his 2,000-plus yard 2024 regular season, Barkley can add another $250,000 for an NFC Conference Championship win, and an additional $250,000 with a Super Bowl victory.
That means Barkley has a shot at making a total of $2.5 million extra bucks on top of his 2024 base salary of $1.3 million, per Spotrac.
Winning the next two games is not far-fetched for Philly and Barkley, who posted a historic 205 yards rushing and two touchdowns in Sunday's divisional round win over the Los Angeles Rams during a snowstorm.
Barkley's 205 rushing yards are now the fifth-most in the league in a single playoff game. He also has the third-most combined rushing yards in a season and postseason in NFL history, with a total of 2,329 yards.
But with at least one more game left, Barkley is not done "chasing greatness."
“It's special,” he said. “Sometimes you know…you chase greatness. I want it. I felt like this week, you know, I felt I had a good game last week. If I would have scored (he slid), numbers look different. But you want to create a legacy and I want to have those types of games. Just visualizing stuff and wondering what the number is and it's funny how that happened.”
The Eagles will host the Washington Commanders this Sunday at 3 p.m. ET with the winner advancing to the Super Bowl.
