The Philadelphia Eagles have dethroned the Kansas City Chiefs as the top dog in the entire NFL. Superstar running back Saquon Barkley may not have sparked the offensive output for Philly, but you know he still played a role in how the Chiefs had to game plan for the Eagles offense.

After his first Super Bowl victory, you know Barkley had to take to social media to celebrate just a bit.

His photos were celebratory, but his message was a nod to the rest of the league for next season. It was a bit of a prediction and a warning to the NFL, considering his elite talent.

Saquon says next year will be his best

It's safe to say that I'ma take the cake for this year I would say try again next year

But next year will probably be my best year… GOD IS GREAT

It is a bold statement, considering Barkley just set the rushing record in regular season and postseason games, combined. He had a generation running back season and completely swung the tide for Philadelphia on that side of the football.

Kellen Moore will certainly thank him if he ends up as the next New Orleans Saints head coach, which is the current expectation around the NFL and the Eagles organization right now.

As for Barkley, there is no reason to believe he will slow down in 2025-2026 for the Eagles.

The offensive line should remain a strength, even though they may have to replace guard Mekhi Becton as he is a free agent, who will garner plenty of interest league-wide.

We will see Barkley's bold claim will come true next season. If it does, the Lombardi will probably stay in Philly for another year.
