Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver A.J. Brown is a very good ball player, who was often overshadowed by running back Saquon Barkley in 2024.
However, up against a sneaky defense, quarterback Jalen Hurts needed all of his weapons during Sunday's NFC championship win over the Washington Commanders, and Brown was ready.
Brown hauled in six catches for 96 yards and a touchdown in the victory, which was a perfect reminder to many, including Miami Dolphins' star wide receiver Tyreek Hill, of just how valuable Brown is as a pass catcher.
"AJ Brown tough," Hill wrote on his personal X/Twitter during the game.
Before Sunday, Brown had just three receptions and 24 yards over the Eagles' first two playoff games.
When he nearly tripled those numbers against Washington, Brown was far from surprised.
"This is something we've been trying to put it all together and today … we're still doing it, cleaning things up. We had opportunities," Brown said after the game.
He went on to reiterate that while there is still work to be done, the Eagles are closer to putting it (passing game and run game) all together.
Of course, on the outside looking in, the Eagles appear to be struggling in the passing game but as head coach Nick Sirianni has said over and over since the start of the regular season, the run game has worked for them and they're not going to stray away from something that is helping them win games.
After all, it got them this far.
But it would be very cool to not let Brown's magic go to waste against the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX.
