The Philadelphia Eagles and San Francisco 49ers are the two remaining undefeated teams heading into Week 6 of the 2023 NFL season.

The Eagles took down the Los Angeles Rams 23-14, while the 49ers blew away the Dallas Cowboys 42-10.

The league's unbeaten squads won't play each other until Week 13, but if they faced off tomorrow, the Eagles would have what it takes to ruin Brock Purdy and the 49ers' win streak.

Purdy, who was 17-of-24 for 252 yards and four touchdowns against Dallas and is now 10-0 as a regular-season starter, has been quite the impressive surprise for San Francisco.

But the truth is, he and the rest of the Niners haven't faced a real challenge this season like the one the Eagles have to offer on both sides of the ball.

Even with young players having to step up on their defensive front and in the secondary, the Eagles' defense have been able to hold opponents under 309 yards. They've also accumulated 15 sacks and 299 total tackles with 22 tackles for loss through five games.

In Sunday's win over LA, the Eagles' defense started out questionable but then went lights out in the second half, making Matthew Stafford complete just 9 of 20 passes for 75 yards with zero points and a 55.2 passer rating.

Where the defense has really been extremely impressive is in stuffing the run, which ranks first in the league after holding opponents under 62 rushing yards per game. That would come in handy with stopping a 49ers run-heavy offense featuring Christian McCaffrey

As for the Eagles' offense, the rushing and passing attacks are blending well. Jalen Hurts is coming off his second-straight 300-yard passing performance where he and D'Andre Swift also combined for over 100 rushing yards.

San Francisco's defense has been able to hold opponents to less than 267 yards but similar to Philly, they've been better at stopping the run as opposed to the passing attack.

The Eagles can not only stop the run, but they can get away with shaking up their offense and relying on the passing game with their endless weapons, making them a difficult match for the 49ers.
