Broderick Jones Patriots Steelers Jets NFL Draft trade

The Pittsburgh Steelers checked off another major task for their 2023 offseason on Friday. The team agreed to terms with their first-round pick, offensive tackle Broderick Jones. It's a four-year deal worth just over $16.6 million, according to OverTheCap

Jones projects to slot in as a starting OT in front of Kenny Pickett and co. They view him as a cornerstone for the offense's future that will help the development of both their young QB and running back Najee Harris, too. Jones was projected to go in the top fifteen of his class. The Steelers made that the case, taking him 14th overall.

Jones' workout bonuses for years 2-4 are unique, but it is a good aspect for him in his deal. His cap number is below $4 million for the first two years of the contract as of right now.
