The Pittsburgh Steelers stopped their four-game skid with a hard-fought 20-18 win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on Sunday. While rookie quarterback Kenny Pickett's first touchdown pass and wide receiver Chase Claypool's fourth-quarter score may get the highlights, another play deserves its flowers.

At halftime, the Steelers led the Buccaneers 10-9. Wide receiver, Steven Sims, ran back the opening kickoff of the second half 89 yards which set up a field goal. Without that score, it's possible the Steelers would have lost their fifth straight game.

Sims on his big moment against the Buccaneers:

“Those are the kind of plays we need," Sims said. "Plays that bring life to the team, bring a lot of energy to get everybody going, no matter how they are feeling. Juice, it brings juice, and that’s just all I want to do.”

The Steelers desperately needed that spark from Sims, seeing as they had barely over 100 yards of offense in the first half. Sims went further into detail about his return, stating he saw something that might work.

"We were running outside returns, and I saw inside, like I felt inside would be a good return. The next one, I kind of just hit it myself. I just hit up inside and made a little move and I got it. Dean caught me, but Dean’s fast as hell."

Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin chimed in on Sims and his contribution also.

“Steve gave us what we expected him to give us, We’re appreciative of his efforts," said Tomlin. "We’re excited for him. We were excited for him a week ago. Glad we were able to get him out and up and running today.”

The Steelers will need more of the same from Sims with two consecutive road games on the horizon.
