CBS Sports recently named the best offseason move for each AFC team and they think the Pittsburgh Steelers' best move came during the 2022 NFL Draft.
Cody Benjamin, an NFL writer for CBS Sports, pointed out the Steelers' decision to draft Pittsburgh Panthers quarterback Kenny Pickett as the franchise's best move of the offseason.
From CBS Sports:
Pittsburgh quietly had a tremendous offseason, bolstering an iffy line with ex-Bears OG James Daniels and finding another draft-day WR gem in George Pickens. But nothing matters more than QB, and while Pickett may very well project as more of a safe signal-caller than a spicy one, he's got the hometown roots and all-around toolkit to keep Mike Tomlin in the playoff mix.

Pittsburgh enters the post-Ben Roethlisberger era with Pickett and free-agent addition Mitch Trubisky as their top two options at quarterback.
Trubisky got a bit of a raw deal with the Chicago Bears under since-fired head coach Matt Nagy, while Pickett was the first quarterback selected in the 2022 NFL Draft.
There are a lot of unknowns with both quarterbacks, but the Steelers are betting that one of them can turn into a franchise quarterback.
Pittsburgh didn't make a bunch of headline-grabbing moves this offseason, but they made some quality additions. The Steelers aren't getting much love in the AFC North division battle — that's going to the Cincinnati Bengals and the Baltimore Ravens — but it wouldn't be a shock if Pittsburgh comes out on top at the end of the season.
Folks are sleeping a bit too much on the Steelers this offseason.
