The Pittsburgh Steelers have a wide range of personalities in their locker room.

Similar to an Independence Day spread, there are all sorts of "flavors" that make up the Steelers' roster.

So in honor of today being the Fourth of July, here's a comparison of Steelers players and your Independence Day favorites, but in food form:

Burgers and Dogs: Mike Tomlin

You can't have a Fourth of July celebration without the two summer staples of cheeseburgers and hot dogs.

And when you think of the Pittsburgh Steelers, you start at the top, the staple of the franchise, tenured HC Mike Tomlin.

Similar to a summer grill session, you show up on the fourth with these two staples in mind, just like Sundays in Pittsburgh with Mike Tomlin.

Beer, Wine, and Spirits: Najee Harris

Harris gets the alcohol comparison because similar to his running style, he sneaks up on you if you don't have things in order.

What starts out as two or three-yard gains turn into first downs by the end of the game as the heavy bruiser gets rolling.

Similar to a nice summer brew or fruity cocktail, a few sips and you hardly notice anything, but things can really add up if you're not careful.

Apple Pie: T.J. Watt

Pittsburgh Steelers EDGE T.J. Watt before gametime.

Watt earns the pie comparison because while in some games he’s performing like he has a special recipe, he’s always good even on his worst day, something just about all pies have in common.

Lemonade: George Pickens

Much like the famed summer drink, Pickens can be both refreshing on the field, and a little sour off of it.

A good lemonade comes down to the lemon-sugar ratio. Too sweet and you have sugar water. But too sour and you're drinking lemon juice.

It's truly a balancing act, something Pickens is learning early in his career.

Deviled Eggs, Baked Beans, Corn on the Cob: Kenny Pickett

Steelers 2023 OTA news Kenny Pickett

Because everyone has a favorite side, I decided to list the top three Fourth of July staples and then compare them to Kenny Pickett.

Much like the current QB for the Steelers, Pickett is not the star of the spread but if there are no sides at the cookout, then you can't even call it a meal.
