The Pittsburgh Steelers are finally coming off a strong offensive performance.
That was in part due to QB Kenny Pickett having a historic game early in his Steelers tenure.
Yet according to one former QB turned analyst, the Steelers could upgrade with another QB who has more questions than answers surrounding his future:
Justin Fields Over Kenny Pickett?
Now I see Orlovsky's point here when he says "playmaker" but the idea that Pittsburgh would be better off with a player that has been injured in all three of his seasons, while having a lower completion percentage, and a higher poor throw percentage than Kenny Pickett is egregious.
Not to mention, Fields is now in year three and may very well be on his way out of Chicago considering his injury history, lack of production, and current draft projection of the Chicago Bears.
As for Pickett, he just played his first game ever without Matt Canada calling plays and looked the best he has all season. Pickett set a personal record in passing yards and became the first QB in franchise history to go seven games without a turnover.
So to think he wouldn't continue to improve heading into year three with more continuity and a new OC is almost as laughable as the idea that Pittsburgh would even entertain the idea of bringing Fields to Pittsburgh in the first place.
