The Pittsburgh Steelers need to add another wide receiver to their roster this offseason.

Pittsburgh doesn't have very much proven depth behind starters Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool.

The Steelers would be wise to sign a veteran free agent to provide Mitch Trubisky with another option in the passing game.

And Pro Football Network has an intriguing option for the Steelers.

They think Pittsburgh should sign speedy wide receiver Will Fuller to a one-year "prove it" deal.

From Pro Football Network:

The Steelers have a pair of solid chain-movers in Diontae Johnson and Chase Claypool, but Fuller, an oft-injured but speedy wideout, can take the top off a defense. Fuller might be worth a one-year flier for the ever-evolving Steelers offense.

This move would make plenty of sense. Fuller has never played a full season in the NFL, but he's electric when he's on the field. His elite speed changes an opposing defense's approach, which can open up a lot in the underneath passing game.

Signing Fuller wouldn't be a blockbuster move by any means. It would probably mostly fly under the radar. But if the Steelers can sign the former first-round pick to a cheap one-year deal, it would definitely be worth it — even if Fuller only plays 10 games in 2022.
