George Pickens blames officiating for Steelers being out of playoffs

Football is a game of inches, meaning the smallest play can have a big impact on the score.
So when players and fans feel like the refs get involved or miss a call down the stretch of a game, the perspective of everything that happens before or after goes out the window.
It seems that just happened with Pittsburgh Steelers WR George Pickens, only his perspective is likely to come with a hefty price tag:
Tough To Beat Two Opponents
“Refs, refs, refs, that’s the only on my mind when it’s blatant,” Pickens said when asked about his frustrations after the no call on the 4th and 3. “When I can see contact down the field, go ball, he pushing, I’m pushing. Or you know, it’s on an in, and he’s on the low hip and diving for the ball, and he never grabs me, and we’re both reaching for the ball, but if you blatantly grab me? You see on third or fourth down, a pivotal down, with twelve minutes to go, we score there, and they haven’t even scored yet. You get that right there, you know, but you’re not going to win a game when you have to play the refs and the Buffalo Bills. That’s what I really feel like happened to us today, to be honest.”
Pickens was visibly distraught with the missed call that all but put a stamp on the Steelers season against the Bills, even throwing a tantrum that is sure to go viral for all the wrong reasons.
But Pickens knows he can't say that, even if there's some validity to what he's saying. Prior to Monday's game, Jonathan Jones of CBS Sports reported that Pickens had been fined over $200k for comments and actions this year, from both the league and Steelers.
And while I doubt Pittsburgh will be taking any more money out of Pickens' bank account, the league office and Roger Goodell probably won't see these comments in the best light, adding some extra money to Pickens' lengthy tab.
