Just because you're a member of the Pittsburgh Steelers 53-man roster doesn't mean you'll be playing on gameday, even if healthy.

That's because the NFL limits teams to 46 active players on game day.

So with the context clear, here are the inactives for today's matchup:

Steelers Inactive players:

  • QB Mason Rudolph (3rd QB)
  • RB Anthony McFarland Jr.
  • S Minkah Fitzpatrick
  • ILB Blake Martinez
  • DT Montravius Adams
  • T Dylan Cook

Bengals Inactive players:

  • WR Tee Higgins
  • HB Chris Evans
  • CB Cam Taylor-Britt
  • C Trey Hill
  • OT D'Ante Smith
  • DT Jay Tufele

Observations:

The Bengals officially will be without one of their best players, with WR Tee Higgins inactive. George Pickens and Diontae Johnson's lives just got a lot easier as the Bengals will also be without one of their best corners, Cam Taylor-Britt.

As for Pittsburgh, no Anthony McFarland is a tad surprising, but that may be due to a larger workload coming for Jaylen Warren.
