The Pittsburgh Steelers have always had an issue of playing down to their competition.

That's especially true when they're at home and as a favorite

But you don't have to take my word for it, just listen to Jaylen Warren:

Not Good Enough

"I guess just taking them lightly — lighter than we should have,” Warren told reporters after the game when asked why the Steelers lost to a 2-10 team…

"…Probably let the highs get too high,” Warren said. “This is not the lowest of the low. I think we expected to win instead of wanting to work to win. We just have to get back in the lab and get right.”

Let me be clear. Every game, especially ones in December are important, no matter who the opponent is.

But 1:00 games, against lackluster opponents, at home, and sandwiched between a big division game and Thursday Night Football game are prime "Who gives a "s***" games.

Now that's no excuse, and the team has to be better even when the weather and injury bug throw the curveballs they did today.

So maybe Pittsburgh needed the loss vs. Arizona.

I don't know how or why the team would be overly confident after one impressive offensive output that still only resulted in 16 points last week, but that's a possibility.

And now that's all behind them. The Steelers have a bad Patriots team in only a few days, and a new QB at the helm for the foreseeable future.

So the road won't get any easier and the Steelers will need to "Get right" as Warren said.

Lucikly for Pittsburgh, they seemingly perform best when their back is against the wall.
