Injury Report Observations
- WR Diontae Johnson: Seeing Diontae Johnson go from full participation to a complete DNP is a Deja Vu moment that many Steelers fans don't want after what happened with Pat Freiermuth last week. We can only hope it was a minor setback and not another trip to the IR for Johnson.
- CB Joey Porter Jr.: Porter Jr. popped up on the injury report for the first team all year, being limited with a calf. Hopefully he will work through it by Sunday
- DL Larry Ogunjobi: Ogunjobi being a DNP is not a good sign, but seeing as it was a shoulder, and knowing him, he should be able to go on Sunday
- DT Cam Heyward: It was a pleasant surprise to see Heyard officially practice today, just one day after looking very spry when working on his own. Pittsburgh has officially opened Heyward's 21-day practice window, doing so well ahead of schedule. Heyward figured to miss 8-10 weeks before he could even manage a return, but we only are 7 weeks post-op and he is already practicing. Heyward tried to tell us he was different when it came to healing, which we should have known given his All-pro status. But he's now proved it.
- CB Levi Wallace: Wallace was the only surprise yesterday, missing all of practice with a foot injury we previously were unaware of. Today Wallace at least participated, a good omen to his availability come Sunday
- LB Cole Holcomb: It was good to see Holcomb as a full partycpant after the ankle scare that popped up vs the Rams. Seeing him double down proves he will be good for the Jags game
