The Pittsburgh Steelers are firmly entrenched in the dog days of the season.

Coming off a short week, the Steelers surely used the extra days off to prepare for the Packers after the Titans win.

Today we get an official update on how the team is shaping up ahead of Sunday:

Steelers Injury Report, Week 10, WED

  • Minkah Fitzpatrick: When Thursday came and went and the Steelers didn't place Minkah Fitzpatrick on the injured reserve, it was a huge win for the Steelers' defense and the team as a whole. The team reportedly met the initial findings with optimism, and Coach T would confirm that Tuesday, saying: "Minkah is improving and there may be some potential for availability at the latter part of the week." That was met with some pushback when Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette said Fitz was unlikely to play Sunday vs. the Packers. Wednesday's injury report backs up Dulac's report.
  • Montavius Adams: The big nose tackle left the game early on Thursday with an ankle injury that forced him out of the rest of the contest. Coach Tomlin addressed his status Tuesday saying that Adams will be monitored closely during the week. On Wednesday's injury report, Adam's was a nonparticipant, signaling a potential missed game for him vs. the Packers
