The deadline for cutting NFL rosters down to 85 is Tuesday by 4p.m. EST, and the Steelers have made some last-minute moves.

Defensive tackle Doug Costin, offensive tackle Jake Dixon, center Chris Owens, and punter Cameron Nizialek have all been waived. With Nizialek gone, Pressley Harvin is the only punter on the roster, so his spot as a starter has pretty much been determined.

The Steelers also have some bad news on the injury front. Safety Karl Joseph (ankle) and wide receiver Anthony Miller (shoulder) will miss the entire 2022 season. Miller was seen as a guy that would likely make the Steelers' final roster so this hurts him immensely.

Pittsburgh added a little insurance on the offensive line, though. Guard William Dunkle, who went undrafted before signing with the Philadelphia Eagles in May, finds his way to the Steelers after being released in June.

The next deadline is Tuesday, August 23 when teams will have to cut their rosters down to 80 players by 4.pm. EST on that day.
