The Ringer, a respected national media outlet, badly disrespected Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback Mitch Trubisky this week.
Trubisky, who was recently named the Steelers' starting quarterback for week one against the Cincinnati Bengals, was named the worst starting quarterback in the NFL by The Ringer.
They described him as "an athletic system quarterback who can’t be trusted to make his own decision".

I understand that Trubisky isn't a top NFL starting quarterback — I don't think anyone is suggesting any different.
But the worst starting quarterback in the NFL? That's completely absurd. And extremely disrespectful to a player that has been the victim of some bad circumstances in the NFL (like playing for Matt Nagy in Chicago).
Trubisky is 29-21 in his career as a starting quarterback. That might not be a Tom Brady-like win/loss record, but it's not bad considering the dumpster fire of a situation he was in with the Bears.
To suggest that Trubisky is worse than Jacoby Brissett (14-23 as a starter) or Daniel Jones (12-25 as a starter) is an insult to a good player.
Trubisky would be wise to use this slight as motivation. He has a lot to prove this season and I have no doubt that he'll be eager to prove the haters wrong.
