Why Now?
It seems that ESPN is treating Week 2 of the NFL season with their typical Week 1 regiment, unveiling a new anthem or "theme song," along with their annual double-header that features Pittsburgh vs. Cleveland and New Orleans vs. Carolina.
Last week was a special occasion since Monday Night Football fell on the anniversary of 9/11, with the league and ESPN deciding to feature two New York teams by way of the Jets and Bills in a highly anticipated matchup for a variety of reasons.
So while both teams hope to avoid injury to their respective signal callers, viewers hope for games as entertaining as Week 1 was, with a new anthem to ring them in.
