Steelers 7-Round 2026 NFL Mock Draft: Pittsburgh goes all in at wide receiver before attacking the defensive side of the ball
Here is a brand new, Steelers 7-Round mock draft with a big time move at wide receiver after this week’s news, and a haul on the defensive side of the ball.
It’s hard to believe that the NFL Draft is just weeks away at this point, but the Pittsburgh Steelers and the rest of the NFL have to feel like they are in the dog days of summer. With the Pro Day circuit largely over and most teams back at base camp for meetings, the final decisions and draft boards are being cultivated as you read this.
So while gathering clarity over the next few weeks, we know the Steelers have certain needs, and by analyzing their visits, we know which prospects and/or positions they are eyeing most. Today, we go through all 7 rounds and 12 picks to give the Steelers the best class possible. Oh, and A to Z Sports NFL Draft analyst Adam Holt tagged along for some analysis after using the brand new A to Z Sports Mock Draft Simulator. Stick around at the end for an image and try it for yourself!
Round 1, pick 21: Denzel Boston, WR, Washington
Boston visited Pittsburgh this week, proving that the Steelers are at least interested in his profile, which, in my opinion, they should be. A lot of the talk at WR in the class revolves around the big three of Carnell Tate, Makai Lemon, and Jordyn Tyson.
But Boston is arguably the most physically impressive player viewed among round one prospects. At 6-4 and close to 210 pounds, Boston plays above the rim and makes spectacular catches look routine. He averaged 63 catches, 858 receiving yards, and 10 touchdowns over the last two years and is both versatile and physical, which fits the mold for Mike McCarthy.
Round 2, pick 53: A.J. Haulcy, S, LSU
The Steelers added Pittsburgh native Jaquan Brisker to their secondary this offseason, and DeShon Elliott is looking to return from injury, but Haulcy is a play for the future. Not only does he scream Steeler as a downhill thumper with a ton of physicality, but he has notable ball production with 12 pass breakups and eight interceptions over the past two years.
Round 3, pick 76: Jacob Rodriguez, LB, Texas Tech
“Rodriguez at 76 is such a great value for Pittsburgh. Add in the idea that they don’t have much proven depth at linebacker whatsoever – and you’ve got the perfect blend of a pick in the later stages of day two. The Red Raiders product can step in and play a role on defense in year one. His instincts and ability in the run game will show up in the pros, even as a rookie.” – Holt
Round 3, pick 85: Isaiah World, OT, Oregon
“World is a player who will take time. He was a developmental tackle to me before suffering a season-ending injury. With that, he will need time to learn and experience the hardships of developing in practice as a pro. For the Steelers, they may have questions about Broderick Jones, but World could end up being a long-term replacement for him opposite of Troy Fautanu.” – Holt
Round 3, pick 99: Logan Jones, IOL, Iowa
“Jones is one of my favorite interior OL prospects in this class. Even without the strongest anchor, the Hawkeyes center is quite agile on the inside and plays a smart game. He will gain strength once he’s inside an NFL locker room, and he can fit the style of offense that Mike McCarthy will bring to Pittsburgh. Either at guard or center – I can see Jones having a long career in the NFL.” Holt
