George Pickens is one of the most talked about WRs in recent Pittsburgh Steelers memory.

Pickens' talent is obvious, and his potential is untapped.

But as Mike Tomlin would preach, he doesn't let the hype get to his head, doing so in a relatable fashion:

"I'm Just Playing Madden"

"I really don't pay too much attention to it, to be honest," Pickens told reporters when asked about all the hype he's getting."I'm just playing Madden. So I really don't pay too much attention to it but I for sure see it. But I just keep working."

Spending his free time hopefully on the PS5 (sorry Xbox fans) Pickens stays out of the limelight by unwinding with…more football. He also said that his rating is "A little low" and that it's nothing for him to target himself 20 times in a game.

But just because Pickens avoids the noise, it doesn't mean he hasn't set a high bar for himself:

"Just a prolific year," Pickens told reporters on what he expects in 2023. "Just making crazy catches, making regular catches, running good routes. Just an overall receiver. I felt like I was already there, but I just wanna boost it to another level."

We'll see just how successful Pickens is in 2023 starting this weekend when he'll be tested against one of, if not the league's best defense against the San Francisco 49ers. Hopefully, he gets a target share of at least similar proportions to his Madden usage.
