The Pittsburgh Steelers hype train has picked up a ton of steam over the past month.
Rightfully so when considering the training camp highlights and preseason performances from the offense and defense alike.
But Kenny Pickett knows that isn't an accurate representation of what's to come:
"It's Going to Happen"
"It's going to happen," Pickett told reporters on behalf of facing adversity vs. the 49ers. "It's the National Football League. You're going against the best defense in the league. It's going to happen. I don't think anyone will bat an eye on this team. Just continue to put your best foot forward, work hard, and go from there."
And while it may be a case of the "Sunday Scaries" for Steelers fans, its proper preparation from Pittsburgh's signal caller.
Most who follow the league in any capacity know how good the 49ers are, particularly on the defensive side of the ball with names like Nick Bosa (who is now preparing to play) Javon Hargrave, and Fred Warner to name a few.
So the adversity will strike at some point in the game. A turnover here, a couple of three & outs there, and suddenly it may look like the Steelers are overwhelmed offensively.
But like in life, it's about what you do when that adversity strikes, and as Pickett stated, I expect him and the rest of the squad to not blink.
