There has been a lot of discourse when it comes to the Pittsburgh Steelers offense, and more specifically the man who coordinates the group, Matt Canada.

And while most of the fodder surrounding him has a negative connotation, according to Jordan Schultz, Pittsburgh is doubling down on Canada:

What Does It Mean?

You can't really say that Canada was promoted, seeing as he held this role before gaining the offensive coordinator gig, but he now has even more power over the offense, and even more on a plate that already comes off as pretty full.

As for what it means for current QB coach Mike Sullivan, that is unknown. Perhaps Pittsburgh is making him the fall guy in this situation, and keeping Canada in place.

And maybe that will be best for the team. Canada had a strong relationship with "Big Ben" before he retired as the legendary passer was a strong reference in the promotion of Canada to his current day job.

So hopefully Canada and Pickett getting closer during the week leads to better results on Sudnay's. But from the outside looking in, the Steelers just threw a cement brick on someone fighting to tread water.
