The Pittsburgh Steelers were hoping for a relaxing day off on Sunday.

That, and some help from the rest of the NFL when it came to their divisional foes.

Well, the exact opposite happened:

Division Goes 3 For 3

With the Steelers off and the Ravens catching a W against the Titans on the other side of the pond, Pittsburgh slipped to second in the division.

That's not a big deal when you consider they currently own the tiebreaker over Baltimore and have played fewer games.

The broader issue is that the Bengals are starting to surge, with back-to-back victories including one against a promising Seahawks team yesterday. Joe Burrow has somehow played his way to health when it comes to his calf, and the team goes into their bye with a wave of momentum.

But perhaps the most headshaking, stomach-churning, and downright upsetting result of yesterday's games for Pittsburgh…

Cleveland's victory:

I still think the 49ers are still the cream of the crop in the NFC, and probably a top-three team in the league. But elite teams don't lose to a Browns squad without Nick Chubb, arguably their best offensive lineman, and their starting QB out with injury.

So, it wasn't the results that many in the 412 hoped for, but it's all good in the end. Pittsburgh obviously still controls their own destiny this early into the season.

Everything they want is right in front of them. Let's see if they go get it.
