Steelers select speedster at WR before taking a flyer on polarizing quarterback in round 2 of latest 2026 NFL Mock Draft
The Steelers get a nice haul in this 3-round mock from A to Z Sports.
It’s Super Bowl week in the NFL, which means we will officially be without football until the fall come Monday. While that may be sad, there is a reason to be optimistic about the months to come.
None of which is bigger than the 2026 NFL Draft, which will be held in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, this April. Armed with a ton of draft capital and under the guidance of a new coaching staff, we could be in for some fireworks, especially if the draft plays out the way Ryan Roberts and Joe DeLeone of A to Z Sports NFL Draft have it going for the Steelers in this 3-round mock.
Round 1, Pick 21: KC Concepcion, WR, Texas A&M
“Taking a quarterback crossed my mind for a second, but the value just wasn’t there in this spot. Instead, the Steelers opt to add a weapon for whoever is the quarterback long term. Concepcion is lightning after the catch with extreme fluidity as a route runner.” – DeLeone
Taking a WR within the first two rounds should be written in stone for the Pittsburgh Steelers. I wouldn’t be opposed to taking a swing in round one, though Concepcion is a tad on the smaller side at a listed 5-11, 190 pounds. He makes up for it with his vertical explosion and return ability, something the Steelers offense desperately needs.
Round 2, Pick 52: Garrett Nussmeier, QB, LSU
Joe and Ryan had the Steelers taking Nussmeier here in the second round, which generates mixed emotions for me. I don’t mind the player as much as I mind the value. With holes in the secondary, questions at LB and LT, taking a player who projects to at least start his career as a backup when you already have Will Howard, feels like a swing I wouldn’t take, or at least not right here.
Round 3, pick 76: Will Lee III, CB, Texas A&M
I am a huge fan of Will Lee and think he would be an excellent pick opposite of Joey Porter Jr. He’s long, physical, and he’s got the competitiveness that the Steelers covet from their corners. I believe his change of direction is better than he gets credit for as well.
Round 3, pick 85: Isaiah World, OT, Oregon
The Steelers will have to address the OT position sooner rather than later. With Broderick Jones still out indefinitely due to a neck stinger, the Steelers best option in 2026 may be Dylan Cook again. They need a long-term option, and World has the upside to do just that.
Round 3, pick 99: Cole Wisniewski, S Texas Tech
Safety is quietly a need for the Steelers. DeShon Elliott is coming back from a knee injury, Jalen Ramsey may be gone or moving back to corner in Patrick Graham’s defense, and then it’s Kyle Dugger and Chuck Clark. Wisniewski is a bit of a hybrid player, but I could see him as a floater in nickel personnel.
