State of the Steelers: Pittsburgh's biggest need halfway through the season

The Pittsburgh Steelers have reached the midpoint of their season.
Happy to be 5-3, the team is somehow finding a way to win in spite of a horrific offense.
Yet a new face at OC is still this team's biggest need at this point in the year and may come back to bite the Steelers.
Oh Canada!
It's clear that the noise surrounding Canada has crept into where the OC himself is privy to the fodder, which, on one hand is kind of sad, but on the other, speaks to how big of a problem this offense has been.
Just to be clear, Pittsburgh was never really going to, and definitely won't move off Canada at this point in the season. And in fairness to him, after moving to the sideline on Thursday, the offense looked much better, with execution being the limiting factor in their lack of scoring.
But the numbers are the numbers:
Pittsburgh ranks 30th in total offense, 25th in passing offense, and 28th in rushing offense.
To be in the bottom 10 in all three categories is abysmal, especially when you look at the threats on the perimeter with Johnson and Pickens, the talent in the backfield with Warren and Harris, a first-round pick at QB, and an above-average offensive line on paper.
The truth is, this team is would be a Super Bowl-caliber contender if they were even average on offense.
To be that inept, yet still be 5-3 and undefeated in the division speaks to that.
So if Pittsburgh misses out on the playoffs, you'll know who's at fault.
