The Pro Day circuit is in full swing, per the mid-late march date on the calendar. With the draft in five weeks, time is of the essence.

The Steelers have been on the road since the Senior Bowl, with some scouts attending even earlier all-star games.

With Virginia Tech holding their Pro Day earlier, The Steelers made sure to be well represented.

Typically, these types of events are reserved for scouts and college personnel, so sending the director of pro scouting could signal the value Pittsburgh places on a few prospects.

So here is a breakdown of two former Hokies that could be future Steelers.

Dax Hollifield, LB

Hollifield fits the bill in terms of linebackers that Pittsburgh covets. At 6'1 240 pounds, he is a tackling machine who ranks 4th all-time in total tackles at Virginia Tech.

An experienced athlete who meets traditional thresholds, Hollifield could be a day-three pick or priority-free agent for Pittsburgh come April.

Chamarri Conner, S

Conner doesn't only bring experience, but his athletic profile is one the best amongst the safeties in his class.

At this year's NFL Scouting Combine, Conner put together an impressive workout, running a 4.51-second 40-yard dash and ranking seventh among safeties for his athleticism score, according to the NFL's next-gen stats.

More than a tester, Conner also shined during his time in Mobile at the Senior Bowl in February.

Two current prospects that are "under the radar" for most of draft media, the Steelers are gathering all the intel they need on the former Hokies,
