- Cameron Johnston: With the Steelers releasing recent draft pick Pressley Harvin, it was a matter of if, not when they would address the punter position in free agency
- Patrick Queen: Queen joins the Steelers after a quiet stretch for Pittsburgh, launching their free agency into an A+ early.
- Donte Jackson: Pittsburgh netted Jackson in the trade that sent Diontae Johnson to Carolina.
- Mason Rudolph: Rudolph was likely to depart from the Steelers as soon as the team signed Russell Wilson, and now he has after joining the Titans
- Armon Watts: A rotational piece along the Steelers defensive line in 2023, Watts heads to New England
- Miles Killebrew: An All-Pro in 2023, Killebrew returns to head the Steelers' special team unit
- Christian Kuntz: The Steelers long snapper for the past three seasons, keeping continuity between snapper and kicker in Pittsburgh made the most sense
- DeShon Elliot: Elliott comes over as a former divisional foe, allowing Pittsburgh to get back to positioning Minkah Fitzpatrick where he plays best
- Montravius Adams: Pittsburgh re-signed the veteran DT to help ensure depth behind 2023 rookie sensation Keeanu Benton
- Kenny Pickett: In less than two years on the job, QB Kenny Pickett is already off the team
- Van Jefferson: Pittsburgh finally addresses one of their most pressing needs with the former Super Bowl champion WR
