Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin's mixed reaction to his son's touchdown is hilarious

Being a father and being a coach are two different tasks, though they do intertwine every now and then.

Mike Tomlin's been a coach a lot longer than he's been a dad. He was an assistant for 12 years before taking the head coaching job for the Pittsburgh Steelers, and is now entering his 17th season in the Steel City.

But Tomlin the dad has a soft side when it comes to the game.

Tomlin was in attendance for Boston College's spring game Saturday afternoon to see his son, Dino Tomlin, play in the scrimmage. Dino got his number called in the second quarter and hauled in a goal line fade touchdown pass.

Amazing! Tomlin got to see his son score. He also got to witness Dino's touchdown celebration, which invoked a slightly different reaction.

Hey, it was at least a cool dance.

Dino, now a redshirt senior for the Golden Eagles, originally played for Maryland where his uncle played back in late 1980s. Tomlin's son transferred after three years with the Terrapins to Boston College in 2022.

Maybe if the Steelers need some wide receiver depth next year, they can add another Tomlin to the roster. Just watch out for any touchdown dances and ensuring reprimanding from the head coach.
