Steelers hosted underrated receiver prospect in recent draft visit

The Steelers have two considerable wide receivers in Diontae Johnson and George Pickens.
But in the modern NFL, you can never have too many weapons, with the need for difference-makers at an all-time high in the league.
After some last news today, the Steelers are showing they believe this as well, hosting a promising prospect to a visit.
Mingo is not being mentioned amongst the top names in this receiver class, but it doesn't mean he shouldn't be.
Mingo lacks the production that top NFL prospects typically have at the receiver position, recording 112 receptions for 1,758 yards with 12 touchdowns during his four years with the Ole Miss Rebels.
But box score scouting is something that should be avoided at all costs in my opinion.
Many a receiver have fallen victim to the "unable to produce in college" label only to become dominant wide receivers in the league.
Two more recent examples would be former Ole Miss Rebels, A.J. Brown and DK Metcalf.
It turn's out this trio doesn't just share an alma mater, rather they are hulking presences that also win vertically.
Mingo tipped the scales at 6'2 and 200lbs while running an official 4.46 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.
For reference, former Pitt Panther Jordan Addison ran a 4.49 at three inches shorter and nearly 30 pounds lighter.
The combination of size and speed is rare, plus he has the tape to show he can win against NFL caliber collegiate players.
The best part?
Mingo is currently slated at 165th on the consensus board, meaning the Steelers wouldn't have to do much to select him in April.
I don't know about you, but I'll take outlier athletes in the draft any day of the week.
Hopefully, Pittsburgh feels the same.
