Observations
- Calvin Austin III: After suffering a concussion against the Cincinnati Bengals, and missing the end of the game, Austin was placed into the protocol. His limited availability is an encouraging sign for a player that has come to life in the third year of his Steelers tenure. On Thursday, Austin was a full participant and should be good for Sunday
- Cory Trice Jr.: The Steelers felt Trice was ready after multiple weeks of full practice participation, and he is set to return against the Cleveland Browns this Sunday after officially being activated off the injured reserve on Thursday.
- Alex Highsmith: Highsmith said that he's feeling better and Coach Tomlin told the media on Tuesday that he expected Highsmith to be ready for Sunday, but you would like to see him log a full participation before feeling strongly about his availability. On Thursday, Highsmith logged his first full participation status in some time and is on track to play this Sunday.
- Montravius Adams: Adams could also make his return this week, with Coach Tomlin saying practice participation will be the team's guide for his return. On Thursday, Adams was also a full participant and is set to make his return after a long absence
