The Pittsburgh Steelers are dealing with a multitude of injuries following Sunday's resounding win over the Los Angeles Chargers.

With one key defender already out, and another headed to the injured reserve, the Steelers signed a former first-round pick on Wednesday as they prepare for the Indianapolis Colts.

Here's what we learned from Thursday's report:

Steelers Week 4 Injury Report (Thursday)

Takeaways:

  • LB Alex Highsmith: Highsmith was ruled out on Tuesday by Coach Tomlin, so a DNP was no surprise on Wednesday or Thursday.
  • RB Najee Harris: Harris was seen in an elbow brace while walking around the facility on Monday, though Coach Tomlin didn't mention him in Monday's report and NFL insider Jordan Schultz reported that Harris is fine. On Wednesday, Harris missed the early portion of practice and was listed as a nonparticipant with a rest designation. On Thursday, Harris returned in a full capacity.
  • RB Jaylen Warren: Warren was expected to be limited to start the week with a lower-body injury, which was confirmed on Wednesday when Warren was seen watching the other RBs go through drills, earning a DNP with his knee. On Thursday, Warren once again missed practice, putting his status for Sunday in doubt.
  • QB Russell Wilson: Wilson was set to begin the week in a limited capacity again though Mike Tomlin didn't rule out his availability going forward. On Wednesday, Wilson was seen moving in limited capacities compared to the other Steelers QBs hence his designation. On Thursday, Wilson was once again limited, setting the stage for Justin Fields to start again on Sunday
  • OL Isaac Seumalo: Seumalo was expected to be a limited participant in practice this week for the first time since injuring his pectoral. On Wednesday, the starting guard was seen partaking in drills with pads on during the warmup session and was officially listed as a limited participant, a sign that the questions at LG could soon becoming to an end. That was backed up by Thursday's report, where Seumalo once again practiced in a limited role
  • S DeShon Elliott: Elliott was a limited participant on Wednesday with a quadriceps, but the starting strong safety should be good to go come Sunday. On Thursday, Elliott was back as a full participant
  • TE MyCole Pruitt: Pruitt was deemed out by Coach Tomlin on Tuesday, with nothing changing on Wednesday or Thursday as he was ruled a DNP.
