Steelers 'Won't second guess' disturbing lack of touches for Jaylen Warren

Football can be a complex game, especially at the professional level.
A lot goes into every play, with every player and coach needing to be on the same page from start to finish.
But sometimes coaches can so caught up in the details, they miss the big picture. It seemed as if that happened to the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday, even if they won't admit it:
Good Things Come In Small Packages (When You Use Them)
Jaylen Warren was the sole reason the Steelers were even in the game with the Browns.
First he busted the contest open with the 74-yarder for six from above. He would then lead a drive into field goal range where Chris Boswell would tie the game until the Browns ended that with a field goal of their own to put a stamp on their victory.
But for some reason, the man who made the engine tick, seemingly was removed, and with no good explanation:
"I don't," said Coach Tomlin when asked if he regrets seeing Jaylen Warren only get nine carries. "You know, when you're unsuccessful you can look back and make a lot of those type judgments, man. We just don't live like that. We don't live in our fears. We don't second guess, man, we live. And so I stand by whatever decisions or play selections or ball distributions we had today."
Hey, I'm not one for living in your fears or looking in the rearview mirror, but when something isn't broke, there's no need to fix it. Yet, with the game on the line, and in need of a field goal with over 90 seconds to go and a timeout, Pittsburgh threw the ball three straight times, recorded three straight incompletions, and gave the ball right back to the Browns for them to go and win the game:
So I don't know. I'm not an offensive coordinator or a head coach, so I won't pretend I know a thing about walking a mile in their shoes.
And as I acknowledged, football can be complex. But common sense tends to prevail in most aspects of life, and the Steelers seemimgky forgot that on Sunday.
