It's hard to believe, but the Pittsburgh Steelers are nearly at the halfway mark of the season.

So what better time than now to review where the team stands.

That includes a look at one of Pittsburgh's more disappointing players in 2023 thus far:

CB Levi Wallace

Wallace signed a two-year contract with the Steelers last offseason and was set to be starter after Pittsburgh offloaded other veterans and made way for a new breed of youth behind the veteran presence of Wallace and futer Hall of Famer Patrick Peterson.

And while Pat Pete has been solid, Wallace has struggled outside of an excellent Raider game that saw him record two interceptions.

A foot injury that rendered him inactive a few weeks back prompted Joey Porter Jr. to start and never look back, as Pittsburgh would then name Peezy Jr. the starter going forward.

And it's not all bad news for Wallace. Sure if you wanted him to be a great starter a fairly reasonable contract, than this pairing was a disappointment.

But Wallace played well in the Titans game when asked to make plays in obvious passing situations that left Pittsburgh in lighter personnel:

So it's all in how you look at it.

Pittsburgh can still utilize Wallace, with his presence as a leader and Veteran will only help the rookies coming in.

But as a bonified starter, it hasn't been easy sledding.
