Pittsburgh Steelers running back Najee Harris is absolutely one for the people, whether they live in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, the United States, or anywhere else in the world.
As a part of the NFL International Series, the league has been sending player representatives to different NFL hotbeds to promote the game.
Harris made the trek down to Mexico to spread the love of football, and ended up in another ring entirely. Literally.
Harris took in the sights of the Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL) wrestling ring, an esteemed Lucha Libre wrestling promotion in Mexico City. He even got in the ring with Atlantis, a renowned Lucha Libre wrestler.
The Steelers' star running back was also gifted with an Atlas FC jersey, one of the more notable Mexican soccer clubs based in Guadalajara.
Not only have the Steelers never played in Mexico, they haven't played anywhere outside the U.S. since 2013. Mexico City has hosted five NFL games since 2016 in the famous Estadio Azteca. The Steelers are also one of nine teams to market themselves in Mexico as a part of the International Home Marketing Areas initiative.
Hopefully, we'll get to see Harris and the Steel Curtain put on a show for Mexico City in the near future.
