Aaron Rodgers is not a fickle human being when it comes to his football attire.

He's worn the same gameday outfit for 20 seasons.

But earlier this year, the NFL banned the helmet Rodgers has worn forever, and it's safe to say he's not a fan…

Aaron Rodgers not happy with new helmet

“I can’t stand the helmet. I’ve worn a Schutt for 20 years and somehow it finally didn’t pass the safety standards," Rodgers told the media on Tuesday.

There was once a conspiracy theory floated (Rodgers is a big fan of those by the way) that Rodgers wasn't signing because he found out the NFL banned the helmet he donned for two decades. Rodgers, however, mentioned the real reason he waited to sign wth the Pittsburgh Steelers on Tuesday, part of which included tying a knot

The point on the helmet is an interesting one, however. In modern football, the pads are lighter and smaller. The heaviest part of your equipment is the helmet. It's hard to keep your head on a swivel when the thing on top of your helmet doesn't look and feel the way you like it.

But just chalk it up to more newness for Rodgers, something he dealt with alot on Tuesday…

"You know, everything's new," said Rodgers. "It's like the first day of school. I don't know a lot of guys names. They don't have names on the back of the jerseys here. They don't have names on the doors in the meeting rooms. I literally walk out of locker room lost, try and grab somebody, 'Hey, where am I going?' But I'll get the feel of it and and I'm excited about making this home."

Home for Rodgers is Pittsburgh for the next three days until he heads back to Malibu to get his last stretch of rest before things get real in late July.
