Russell Wilson being back with the Pittsburgh Steelers would be a miracle at this point.

Sure the five-game losing streak left a sour taste in the mouths of many, but what really did him in was the bridges he burned with Arthur Smith

Well according to Gerry Dulac of the Pittsburgh Post Gazette, Arthur Smith and Aaron Rodgers shouldn't be expected to suffer the same fate if they end up getting together…

Rodgers and Arthur Smith already hitting it off?

“You know, that was kind of the question early on that I had that if Arthur Smith had some issues with some of the things that Russell Wilson was doing, maybe on his own, how would he then feel about having a guy even more established, which is hard to say with Russell Wilson, but a guy whose credentials were even greater than Russell Wilson," asked Dulac. "How would he feel about that…

"…The sense that I’ve gotten is that Arthur Smith is excited to work with Aaron Rodgers. He met with him the other day as well. I was told that visit was went very well. So yeah, I had that same question. I don’t know, they’re certainly not gonna bring in Aaron Rodgers and put the reins on him like Matt Canada wanted to do with Ben Roethlisberger, but Arthur Smith has controlled the offense, and they’re certainly not gonna turn the offense over to Aaron Rodgers solely. But we’ll see how that dynamic works, if at all, if this whole thing pans out for him coming here.”

If the Steelers are going to have any success in 2025, egos are going to have to be let at the door. Especially if and when they sign Aaron Rodgers. Between his mindset, two former and current head coaches on the staff Arthur Smith and Mike Tomlin, and two characters at WR, there is a lot of room for this thing to implode.

And regardless of whose side you were on in the Wilson-Smith saga, that can't afford to happen in what is the team's last real chance at winning a Super Bowl with names like Cam Heyward, T.J. Watt, and Minkah Fitzpatrick on the roster.

So Smith had better be excited, Rodgers had better be receptive, Coach Tomlin needs to let the offense be, and George Pickens & DK Metcalf had better keep their tempers in check.

Because if one part falls…the whole group might go down.
